Learning Russian

Your choice to study Russian will reveal a world of opportunities for you – whether your motivation is professional, academic, or personal. Russian is a language of moderate difficulty for English speakers to absorb and it requires commitment and a plan. I am here to help. 

The first step is to determine your level of existing proficiency. No experience? No problem! 

I have both individual study plans tailored to your goals and timeline as well as group lessons for beginners. 

Individual lessons are conducted by me utilizing textbooks and material proven to produce results. The lessons combine homework with class time and are designed to quickly accelerate the novice to an intermediate level of Russian. grammar, vocabulary, verbal and written comprehension; pronunciation and conversational skills are emphasized.

Individual 1-hour lessons start at $50/hour. Group lessons of two to three students are $25/hour.

Are you an experienced student? Fantastic! Perhaps you studied Russian in college or self-studied. Even better if you are a heritage speaker. I suggest scheduling a diagnostic interview to determine your level of Russian proficiency as well as any weak areas you need to strengthen. There is a wide array of abilities classified under the intermediate level, so a customized approach is best. The cost to schedule the one-hour diagnostic is $50.
